Clutch and tranny questions
couple questions for the VR4 owners....Anyone ever replaced the clutch (5 speed) themselves? If so, what kind of work does it entail, and what special tools will i need? Also, any torque specs that i would need in the course of the clutch replacement would help. Another question...does the late-model six speed tranny fit in place of the older five speed? If not, what needs to be done to put it in, and is it worth the time/money? One more thing...I've thought about replacing the spark plugs, cause the car needs it, but ive been discouraged by the fact that i cant see three of them. I know this job would be much less than the clutch, but I'm just wondering what replacing the plugs would entail. Thanks...

Re: Clutch and tranny questions
I suggest reading the FAQ...spark plugs are covered in there. As well as alot of other great info for new/potential owners/members.
I havn't done a clutch replacement, but there are a few threads about it, do a search (search button should be at the top right corner of your screen). and for the 5spd to 6spd conversion, check this out: http://www.stealth316.com/2-5spdto6spd.htm
