so i go out to my faithful steed [with a nice exhaust leak on the o2 housing] and since it has been raining pretty nice here i popped the trunk to get a towel.

hmmmmm... where is my sub? i don't remember taking it out. that sucks.

open the drivers side door. damn there is a lot of glass in there.

where is my center console? damn the stereo is gone. but worst of all my Profec B2 is gone!!! [was housed in the cubby of the stereo install kit].

best thing was that the SAFC2 was still chillin out in the open and my Flight Bag was untouched. so that was good.

as my now pissed off GF is on the phone with the police i'm thinking the Ins. dollars. she hands me the phone and the whole time i am thinking 'my car is soooo illegal! i hope they don't come out here. [they didn't]

take care of the Ins. and my car is now in the shop getting a new window and a 100% new top [frame and all!] and all new weather stripping [i got quoted 1100 from the dealer ]


total appraised estimate from the Ins. adjuster: 6000+

total of stereo/EBC/sub: ~1500

Eclipse cd8443 HU: not working because of security feature [you can program the HU so that a CD has to be entered if the HU is removed, so if the scumbag can figure out that he needs to put in my own Live DJ CD he is fucked]

Alpine sub: 2 days old, but only cost me 200 bucks. whoopie.


i'm moving into a new place with fully secured underground parking so i'm going to wait untill i get there to re-install the stereo stuff.

scumbags: useless HU, new sub, Profec B-spec 2 with wires ripped out of the back

me: 100% new top, 100% new weather stripping, various dents removed, new glass, new stereo, sub, and Profec B, or possibly a e01

yeah, i had my stuff jacked 3 years ago in my car. i left it one night in the public parking in my old aprtment complex so a friend could park in my spot, and surely enough both my subs, box, 2 amps, compasitor, crossover, deck. state farm gave me a check for 3300, i said screw it bought a bigscreen tv, and a pool table. iv'e never had a system sence.

I LOVE Eclipse decks. Usually thieves are good at what they do, and know not to take a Deck they can't unlock without the CD to do it.

I currently don't want my car broken into, I wouldn't make any money... but insurance doesn't know my rear bumper is already fucked. If someone rear ends me and I get a paint scratch, say hello to a $500+ estimate when I can get full 97 kit for it.

this kind of stuff is happening way to often, i am afraid to get a new CD player in my car and take it to school. In the last month about 25 cars were broken into and stereos were stolen, some kids get off easy ,and some got the shit beat out of there cars as well...all in the parking lot at braud daylight , in full view of secutiry cameras...but apperantly my school never activated them because it costed to much, no one was ever caught for doing this, and the school still refuses to take action or even turn on the securty camera....the thing that really pisses me off is that everyone is totally defenseless , they have to get to school ,but they dont want there car messed up.
were basicaly stuck between a rock and a hard place just waiting to see whos car is next....

People up here are really trusting. Shit loads of cars are left unlocked. At school in the parking lots their are cams they are on but I have seen the pics the take, standing 20 feet away u can bairly tell if they are white or black.

boosted....how was the car illegal?
i had both my cars broken into last summer....im sure ive posted it here before.but they just broke the back window and took the sub and amp. Good thing they didnt get up front. I accidently left my left card in the little cubby under the cd player....WHOOPS

Wow, reminds me of a story.......

While I was in college, all freshman had to park in the "storage lot". This lot was not really in sight of anyone (unless you were going to get your car). My university did have working security cameras, but didn't seem to understand how to use them. I remember one day about 15 - 20 cars were broken into and 3 more were hit. The campus police saw nothing, nor could they find anything on the tapes (fucking morons). Then a couple days later, I read in the school paper that a guy removing 1 case of beer from his trunk (he was underage) was popped before he could put the beer in his book bag!!!!!

my girlfriends brother put some type of sharp ass barb wire around his cd player.. (where you can't see it).. so when some asshole decides to break into his car and yank his shit out, they're gonna cut their hand wide open.. and i mean "WIDE" open... i don't know where he got the wire from but is VERY VERY sharp.. he had to buy special Gloves to even touch the wire... . he hasn' had anyone break into his car yet.
