Priming the engine

HEY GUYS!!!! I installed my engine awhile ago and I am getting close to starting her up. I was wanting to ask your opinions on priming the motor. Do you know how much a priming kit is? I have a 1991 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4.3L 4 door 4x4. Should I get a priming kit or cut a screwdriver off and stick that to a drill? Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks in advance.
