Which tires?

Hey I have a 2000 GSR and I just bought new tires. I went to big 10 thinking I was going to get Yoko AVS ES100's. The guy at the shop reccomended I get Riken Raptor VR's over the Yoko's. He said that they would last a lot longer and give me simliar performance. I had dunlop sp sport ultra high performance summer tires on before. I went with the Raptor's even though tho I have never heard of Riken in my life. They are a ultra high performance all season tire. They seem to be a lot louder and the handling seems a lot lighter and looser. Has anyone ever owned a Riken tire, let alone heard of them? Should I be feeling this difference or is it just needing some breaking in. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Which tires?

You will have to expect a little loose handling while he tires are breaking in but it shoul not last too long. I have never heard of Riken though and personally I love the Yoko AVS ES 100 they are sweet!

Re: Which tires?

Never heard of Ripken. Most tires need about 500-1000 miles to break in.
