Stop light problem

i have a 2000 tiburon and my stop lights are going out...every time i replace the fuse it blows right away.
i stripped apart the car and checked all the wires and somehow the stoplights worked...i put the car back together started it up and about to leave and the same problem happens again.
i do have a sound system hooked up and none of the wires are shorting out anywhere (someone said the radio might be on the same fuse so i checked).
can anyone help?

thanks

I had a problem like that one time, only it was my rear window defogger fuse that kept blowing - I took it to the dealer and they figured out the problem and it was some part that needed replaced....it was only like $40 i think for my problem...but I dunno for sure what yours would be. Maybe an auto store can do a diagnostic check on the computer and tell you what the problem is? just my

Sorry peep, but I don't know what the part was that they replaced exactly....all they told me was it was something that was like a battery, and it was shorted out. A battery that provided power to the fuses. I believe it was a little silver box??

Re: Stop light problem

haha my bad...there was a shorted wire on the wire connector clips that give power to the stoplight on the spoiler, every time the hatch is closed it would blow the fuse but it would work if the hatch was open, a quick fix after i found it
