Steve,
This section is for posting pictures of your X or of recent trips. It would be better to ask this question in Mods/Interior, considering that is where it should be. Thanks, Brantley

Step 1: Don't go through a creek that will flood your vehicle!
Obviously crap happens on the trail, and you get stuck in those situations. But typically you aren't driving in areas that will flood your vehicle. Not only is it bad for the interior, but if you get water inside your diffrential or transmission, you will have bigger problems than a bad smell. Hehe, and just FYI, I've noticed mud usually does stink. It's just a part of offroading. The worst was when I hit an old pasture land. I had a blast but when leaving noticed my vehicle smelled like cow manure! Here is a pic of me going through a creek and the passenger side dropped off into the deep part.

Also most people don't realise there is a vent flap on the side of the rear fender (behind the bumper). If you sit for very long water is going to get in through here. Sort of fun to watch the surprise on people's face after they've been stuck rear end in the water thinking everything is ok, and then once they get pulled out, a lake forms at their feet.

Hey Logixrat...
Do take a moment to note the time/date of the last post in a thread before replying. You've dredged up several dormant threads. FYI, Brent |

Indeed you are right, sorry about that. I just joined and was cruising through the various threads not paying any attention to dates. It wasn't that far down, but I see this forum doesn't get tons of attention. Such a shame, it seems like a nice little place. And yes, I've posted pics of my Jeep a few times. Not because I have a big head about it, but because that is where most my 4x4 experiences exist. Just FYI, my wife had an 00 X and we just recently bought her an 05 X, which is what spawned my posts here.
