OK I am now sick and tired of this crap!

I have been here a while (although I may not post allot) and all of the other skyline forums out there that apply to this i.e. Nissanforums.com. I am sick and tired of people trying to find a "new way" to get a skyline in a America with NO proof and No research.

This is what I am planning on doing:
1.First I need everyone’s help and support on this.
2.I am going to get a hold of a lawyer friend of mine about MotoRex and RB motoring and anyone else getting it in. Also he will be able to help me out with all the government legal crap. He used to work for the government.
3. I need every single idea that was brought up on how to get a skyline over here for cheap I.E. kit car- just call it a body kit, plate swapping- EVERYTHING. I am going to do a MASSIVE investigation on what is right and wrong when it comes to importing these things.
4. I plan on calling all the news stations about this because there is enough people who care to watch this and learn the truth.
5. Lastly when all the investigating is done I plan on making a web site with ALL this information that has been PROVEN.

How does this sound "alright" to everyone? Will anyone be willing to help? Am I forgetting something I should do here? Are there any resources that anyone has that will help out in this investigation i.e. People- documents, ect.

I dont think the news stations would give a shit about it... You've got to think about the average person that watches the news doesnt care about cars, or Skylines for that.

I dont think they would cover it...

I dont see what the big deal is though... You either have the money, or you dont, there is no way to get around it without getting heated. And is it really that big of a deal for a generally average car?

I dont think so... Just wait man... 2014 and we can import Godzillas legally. So just be patient.

you will be wasting your time and money, unless you plan on trying to profit from doing all that work. Just let the dreamers dream and when they fail then there will be one more skyline here in the US for race/show useage at a low cost to us.

I agree with Zed, that'd definetly shud'em'up. But it isn't that big a deal, unless you are willing to look into EVERYTHING and then make a giant thread titled "NEWBIES, LOOK HERE BEFORE YOU ENTER" and have it set up so that they HAVE to look at it in order to continue. Like, uh, those licensing agreements.

dont wanna correct a mod, but canada has the 15 year rule so a 1999 r34 is lets say 6 years old now (almost 2005) plus 9 years till legal= 15

Well has anyone cosidered trying to challenge the 25 year rule? Lower it to a more reasonable level purhaps?

For example the law on drugs comming in from canada because they are cheaper?

Also lets look at this what does the law say about cars that come from canada rather? Or is it all import cars that the 25 year rule applies to?

Its seems that no one even trys to change laws. Would that not be an easier prosses? I am sure the guys running around in fiberglass bodied vettes have no problem in acidents so why not let the skyline hear? emitions and seat belts give me a break. in alot of states they don't even have emisions MN doesn't. This is the kind of crap I am talking about. Nissan is gouing to bring a skyline over here that doesn't even look like one? What the hell? I am all for the v8 myself technology is were it matters. But here in america we even complain about our old muscle cars not looking the same for example the mustange- now they FINALLY did something about it. This kind of crap has driven me mad way too long. I would much rather go throught the crap to change the law. There more than likely is something I have to go around and have poeple sign and what not that's how I did this last time Although I am sure that there is some bigger amount of peole when it comes to this.

... Its all technical rules man. If your driving in an or older car ('72 or below I think) you dont have to meet the same standards as the newer cars... Because they are NEWER.

Is it really worth making a stink about dude? You really want to take years out of your life just to lobby the EPA and DOT to try and get the 'paper free' importation law lowered, maybe a year or two?

Its not going to happen buddy... Its not that big of a deal... The Skyline isnt a magic car that can fly, feed your children, and sing the Nation Anthem... Its an inline six twin turbo. If you want something of the same caliper... Its not that hard to build.

It just seems silly to me to make such a HUGE deal, about something very miniscule.

Now dont get me wrong, I love Skylines as much as the next Nissan/Infiniti enthusiast... But seriously, the reason every wants one, is because they are so rare. That factor will soon fade away, and they'll be just another car on the road.

Skylines in Japan are as ample as Mustangs in America... They're not all that great unless you put mucho dinero in it.

... Anyways, sure, I'll sign whatever you put up, and Im sure everyone else on this entire forum would... But its not going to do a damn bit of good... Sorry to tell you.

Public out cry over something like this is typically just kind of tuned out.

this is dumb... so you expect to bypass all the federal laws and dot regulations so you can get a cheaper skyline?
what about those who invested money in getting it legalizied by motorex?
i'm still waiting on 6 monthes right now for my r32 at motorex, some has waited up to more than a year to get thiers.
If another person that brings in a car thats not legal, thats one more officer checking to see if my car is legal or not.
I bet all skyline owners that has gone through motorex, would hire lawyers of thier own to protect the amount of money they have invested in thier cars.

Well, if he finds a way that's legal, let him do it. If not, we'll stick to MotoRex. Did you even read his post?He was saying he was going to CHECK on all these things, not act on them. MotoRex does them, He is investigating other ways. He won't act on something, untill it has been found 100% legal. Untill then, nobody is going to act upon anything illegal. Calm down.
