That is incorrect, before the 1988 model Capri (Which was Australian-made) there was the British and German variants of the Capri, which were based off the Mk I/II Escort IIRC, these were made in the 60's and early 70's. The German version used a V4, the British an Inline four.



They are classics these days in Britain and many of it's colonies (Mainly Australia and New Zealand, possibly Canada, I do not know)
