1996-99 Engine Swap into a 1995 Aurora
Does anyone know why a 1996-1999 Aurora engine will not go into a 1995 Aurora? Engines are basically the same. I have been shopping for a engine at salvage yards and thier books say a 1995 engine is the only one that will fit in a 1995 car.

I think that this swap can't be done because the 1995 Aurora is an OBD I
car, and the 1996/99 is an OBD II car. _________________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

Re: hello
Would this apply to the automatic transmission as well? I am very close to buying a 96 ' for the trans. See my post @ mikesaurora concerning parting out the 96' Aurora. I would like to know if the two are interchangeable and would work properly if swapped. Anyone?
