Lightbulb Make tuner exhaust without using styrene

you'll need:
sharp knife, hack-saw (or any fine toothed saw), chrome paint, a long nail (yes, the sort you hit with a hammer), fine toothed file or rasp, hammer, vice, pen (not the clicking type, one with a lid and where you can pull off the end with the point)

ok, pull the pen into all it's parts (ink, lid, cone shaped thing from end, other end cap), take the main part of the pen, cut it to the length needed for your muffler with the hacksaw, use the rasp to clean up the rough bits, take the cone bit and turn it around (as in, put the pointy bit in your muffler) is probably wont fit, so cut the wide part down using the knife and rasp untill it fits, make sure it is a little too large, using whatever means you want force the pen cone bit pointy end first into the Muffler, you should now begin to see the muffler take shape, paint this all chrome and set aside.

take the nail and cut off the head and point, you should now have a long thick metal rod, put about an inchof this in the vice and hit sideways with a hammer to give a slight angle to it, now you can take the dry exhaust and put the nail in the back.

now you have a decent looking exhaust that takes about an hour to make and costs about $1

hope this helps (sorry if my instructions suck)
BTW: if i knew how, i'd put some pics in.

Re: Make tuner exhaust without using styrene

Well pictures would help,
it is in how to but somehow no one can understand it right (don't know why)
1. Open two browsers, one with your post open and other with gallery open.
2. In galery you will have (or not) log in, top right corner says upload photos or log in (if it is log in then use your user name and password to log in and now you have upload photos)
3. Upload photos from your comp, once you load one don't process it yet but go to upload photo again if you have more then one picture.
4. When you are done uploading hit process files and you will be taken to your gallery.
5. Click on the photo you want to upload in your post, when it opens you will have link just under the photo that is allready marked so just right click on it and hit copy.
6. Switch the browsers and just paste the link in your post.
7. Repeat untill done.

Don't be angry if this sounded like a total computer novice "how to".
Now please show us the pictures because I don't understand that pen part.

i just take two pieces of aluminum tubing, one bigger in diameter and one smaller, stick them in each other and cut them, then polish with my dremel and some wax

And since aluminum tube is something like 50 cents per, each one of these mufflers costs perhaps a nickel, and take less than an hour.

By the way, hks_kansei, it's a "vise" not a "vice," and you'd want to use a file, not a rasp. Most of us have a razor saw instead of a hack saw, though that's just categorical.

i'm an Aussie so thats how we spell vice, and i didn't know what foreign people called a file so i said rasp instead.

Re: Make tuner exhaust without using styrene

According to my Dictionary 'Vise' is an alternate spelling for 'Vice' but im an Aussie to and ive always spelt it Vice. So go figure.

No, wrong way round. It's the Americans who talk and spell funny.
