Question can there be too much speed?

the worst i've done is, alright..... driving on the highway at 100kph (the correct speed limit) i came up behind a turd colored Commodore wagon (Chev Lumina in the USA) it was doing 80. i look in my mirror and see 3 trucks (18 wheelers) and a ute. an overtaking lane is coming up so i decide to wait before overtaking, i do and pass turd car without a problem, i decide to be polite and pull over to let one of the trucks past, he goes by and i flick on my indicator, the overtaking lane ends i end up on the road side and the other two trucks and the ute go past, after much swearing and annoyance the final insult happens, turd car gets past again. in my infuriated state i floor it, redline quickshifting in each gear, i get up to turd car and overtake on the wrong side of the road, on double solid lines through an intersection, doing 135kph (84mph) i get past, flip turd car off and slow back down to the speed limit. luckily there wasnt a car in the other lane, or police around.

this all shows us that we should not let any body pass us.

BTW: i dont plan on doing this again...... i enjoy life too much.

hks_kansei do you happen to be in Japan? I am really curious about the 180km'h speedometers I've seen on some Japan-specification Mitsubishi's and Toyota's (cars like Lancer Evo and Toyota Progress not some minicar...) What happens when you try to go 181 km/h with those cars? Is it a law that carmakers have to comply with?
(If you're not in Japan ignore this message )

not Japan

sorry, i'm not in Japan, but further south, Australia. as to your question about the speedo's, in the DVD "Getaway in Stockholm 2" the supra goes over 300 (it has a TRD speedo that stops at 300" and it's needle just stops, but the car keeps going faster.
