True Duals?
okay I got a 98 Ta, Manifolds, stock cats, and a new stock muffler. Well I was thinking today, Take her down to the muffler shop chop her off, just have manifolds, and 3 1/2 inch pipe to the rear, along with cats , No muffler just manifolds and cats with pipe but it must be a true dual or i wont touch it. How much would it be? to have it done just a estimate?

they make a true duel setup for the 4th gen f-body.. i think its made by DualZilla.. or some weird name like that.. i would do a yahoo search, it'd probably be alot cheaper

i cant really see a muffler shop doing that for you, or are you saying do this yourself. i dont quite follow whats goin on...

some shops will do it.. some wont..
One shop wouldnt even do my camaro exhaust unless I got a cat put in too.. The shop across the street is doing the exhaust in my supra.. Full 3" pipe, one resonator, no muffler or cats..

true duals are a major pain in the ass, and not worth it unless you are pushing 500hp or more. ill be running a 3in single pipe with a 450hp engine. single is just as if nor more effective than the duals for this application. and costs less, is easier. id stick with the single pipe, and just cut the muffler off if your dead set on it.

You tell them what brand of headers you have ect, they send you the pipe and all in a box, and you go get it fabricated up. The pipes have to go over the axles if I remember correctly. You are better off just buying some used headers off someone. Hell go with shorties if your budget doesnt allow some mid legnths or long tubes. I had long tubes on mine and LOVED THEM!! YOu can get Mac Mid lengths for almost nothing these days. Dont go with your idea
