AMP cuting out

I have notice lately and new fairly new amp. After geting i new battery. will cut out after about 5 or 10 mins. And it doesnt even have to be on high VOL..But if i turn the car off and trun it back on it works fine for a few mins then cuts on and off.

the only guess i have is to make sure its grounded properly.

Re: AMP cuting out

make sure the connections at the battery are tight... and there is no corrosion on the battery terminals.. I also suggest running your car for a while (15-20 min) with all accessory's off then turn on the stereo/AMP, and let it play and see if the symptoms continue.. if they do I suggest you look into getting a 1 Farad Batt Cap. you can install the batt cap right near your Amp. also check all your amp's fuses, and take a look at the signal wires, make sure they are snug on the headunit, and Amp. and there are no cuts in the cable all the way back to the amp. same for the power cable.. and check that you have a proper ground point that does not come lose... (weld a bolt to the interior, to make a terminal for a ground point if you want a correct grounding point)
