Engine shakes on first gear!! some advice please

I have an integ ls 1996. My engine shakes on first gear whenever i am accelerating from a complete stop. This only happens whenever the car has been idle for a while or simply when the parts are cold. After drving it for a good 5 - 10 minutes, i dont have a problem. I called a clutch expert and she said it might be my flywheel from accelerating too fast in the past. I think she is right because it shook really bad when i tried to peel out one time. Does anyone know wassup??

the engine and tranny mounts. check em out. if your mounts are good, there is no way for the engine and tranny to be shaking rough.

would bet it is your clutch and or flywheel. if it only does it starting to drive from a stop and it doesnt do it when just sitting there. It is a spring loose on your clutch which you have to replace whole thing or hot spots on your flywheel, which you might as well replace your clutch swhile your flywheel is out, exedy stage1 clutch is only like $115 its the labor thats like $300.

Re: Engine shakes on first gear!! some advice please

bad motor mounts would not stop the engine from shaking after 5-10 minutes. bad motor mounts shake even when sittin at the stoplight no matter how long the car has been drivin. also, doesnt seem like a bad clutch would suddenly become a good clutch after 5-10 minutes either... clutch performance even decreases as temperature increases... just like brake pads....
