Several general questions about my 96 CVPI

1. What differences are there between stock CVs and CVPIs? engine mods, diff. specs, etc.

2. What mods are there for my car? To increase HP, etc.? I'm looking for something effective, yet cheap. I don't have much money right now..

3. I saw this question on the forum, but no one answered it. Do bucket seats from vehicles from, say, the Mustang of a similar year fit into the Crown vic? The stock seats I have are stained, torn, and give no lateral support on turns. I have to hold on to my seat when I go on a fast turn... <_<

Thanks to the person who takes their time to answer these questions.

Re: Several general questions about my 96 CVPI

To answer #1,

-The engines are EXACTLY the same, bar the oil cooler in the CVPI
-The EEC programming is *slightly* more aggressive with the CVPI
-you have a heavier duty frame
-you have upgraded electronics
-you have a different steering gear
-you have stiffer springs
-you have bucket front seats
-you have RF shielding
-you have "fully electrically bonded body and frame"
-you have a large "ticket light"
-you have "police power" in the cabin (batt and switched power) for accessories.
-The list goes on and on of little things. Nothing significant.

P70, 2001 up "streatch"
P71, Police Package car
P72, FLeet package car (police or taxi)
P73, Base civilian car, Crown Victoria "S"
P74, Corwn Vix LX
