crx vs alero

hi i have a 1988 crx dx 5 speed with intake, exhaust, and my friend has a 99 alero stock and we race all the time and were always dead even. I though he would blow my doors off??? when we race from a roll @ 60 on up i take him by hafe a car leangh. He also has a 98 civic with a gs-r swap and type-r tranny,exhaust,intake,6 puck cluch, light weaght flywheel. and when we race he beats my by 4 cars throw 1/4---- so my Q is how fast is a 88 crx with those little mods thanks

those mods do little to improve performance, I would think maybe 3-6 HP max, so you are probably about as fast as a stock DX, so I guess in the 1/4 mile you would run around 17??.......

If he has a B18C1 and only is 4 cars ahead of you he doesn't know how to race.

Re: crx vs alero

We have a 2003 Alero V6, my D15B can keep up with it. It's got a half decent motor (3400), but weighs to damn much.

Integrity1, did it take you all day to come up with that? I hope you didnt hurt yourself too bad.

A guy down the street has a 'Olds 440 if anyone says there slow... I'm sure he would race you, wouldnt bother unless your running low 11's though.
