Unhappy Electrical Problems

Hi everyone, got a question. I had to jumpstart my 97 galant, and when I did it somehow blew the alternator fuse. I went to Kragen's and replace it and jumped it again. When I try to drive it, it sputtered. I turned the engine off and waited a couple of minutes before starting it again. This time i could drive it normal for about block's length, then it began to sputter again, idling at around 1500 RPMs. I took it into a repair shop where they replace the alternator and fuel filter, but that didn't fix the problem. Then they tried to replace the fuel pump, but that didn't work. Can anyone tell me their thoughts? Maybe computer?

Re: Electrical Problems

Sounds like you fried a box. The ECU, which is main computer, is located behind the glove box they tell me. Take a look at it, and smell it. Does it smell burnt? Is there some black track marks on the back?

This is not a very good forum. Also, you have not provided any other information that would be necessary to troubleshoot. Suggest you take it to the shop.
