96 Z Heat
To all who are out there:
I have a 96 Z28. I have recently replaced the Thermostate, and Radiator Fluid. I am able to get the vehicle up to temp now and it maintains temp, but when I turn the Heater to blow out hot air it doesn't always work. At times it pushes cold air, or luke warm air, rarely it will be hot. What Can I do? Matt |

I have the same problem with mine. GM released a technical bulliten a while back about some of the camaro models having a bad seal on the heating unit. This bad seal allows cold air outside to be sucked in with the hot air, thus creating that "lukewarm" feeling. I bet thats your problem but you never know. Good luck.

Re: 96 Z Heat
and if you put a lower temp stat in, it takes significantly longer to heat up.

I just had the exact same problem with mine. I took mine to the shop and had the the radiator properly back-flushed. Apparently, they flushed chunks of crap out, and now its blowing really hot air.
