That should not have happened as the settings are hard wired in the car. If that changed, I would only suspect the ECM... Unless you had someone work on wiring its not possible..

The ECM has nothing to do with the operation of the climate control system. This car does not even have an ECM. It uses a PCM.
In this case, the HVAC programmer is the brain of the dual-zone a/c system. A microprocessor in the programmer receives signals from the control head and sensors, and sends commands to the components which control the temperature and air flow.
I cannot find any reference to your problem in the shop manual. Previous postings by persons more experienced then me gave this proceedure for resetting climate control problems in the absence of a Tech I. :
Turn key on.
Press OFF button.
Key off.
Wait one minute.
Turn key on but do not start engine.
Wait three minutes.
Cross fingers.
Start engine.

Hope this helps.

No, there isn't. Its all hard wired in. It could just be the display is shorted out somehow.. go to a wrecking yard and pic up a climate control module and the screen. swap them one at a time..

Re: 95 Park Ave Climate Control - Celcius / F

I took the car into a shop for oil change/inspection. They mistakenly left the interior light on overnight and drained the battery... dead.

After the jump I noticed that the display was back to Farenheit. So... a complete power disconnect seems to have reset the climate control unit.

I do appreciate your input!
