Engine choice question

I need some opinions. I have a 1970 Mercury Montego that I've been working on. I had it fixed up fairly nice and was driving it for a while. Then I got married and the cars been sitting for about five years. I'm going to start working on it again and need some opinions on engine selection. The car is originally a 302 car. I have a 1968 302 block that has been rebuilt and it ready to go in. It's a mildly built engine. It has the performer RPM cam and intake, balanced & blueprinted and all that jazz. But I was at a local swap meet this weekend and ran across a 1969 Mercury Marquis with a 429 that I can get for cheap. The engine needs to be rebuilt, but I can get the car for like $300.00.

How much work do you think would go into installing the 429 in my car. Are parts a lot more expensive for the 429? I just want some input on what you guys think I should do.

Thanks...

Chris

Hey Chris ur looking at several mods just to get the 429 to squeeze in to the engine bay,oil pan, exhaust(headers) motor mounts(pad location)
Radiator(electric fan) basic montego mx I had had 428cj minus about everything stripped interior no frills 2 buckets plastic no bench had suspension mods larger rotors u can check with aftermarket suppliers
for available kits also had dual range C-6 with elec overdrive license frame said bitch can fly! was california custom.check with trans dapt they make some cool stuff! best of luck with the flying montego!
cost might b real high too!
