Help me pick a new car please.

Right now I'm driving an 04 cavalier LS. Slow as heck. My parents car is soon to kick the bucket, but still has a trade in value of 3k. They're going to give it to me so that I can put it as a down payment, along with 1,500 i've saved up, and they're going to take over the payments on my cavalier.

I'm trying to keep a budget of no more than 21k out the door. I really really wanted to go with a Z, but I couldn't find one with an auto tranny (enthusiast is the cheapest model that comes with an auto) for less than 26k (I can't drive stick due to a foreverly messed up left ankle), i loved the z auto tranny with the manual shift, but I just can't fit it into my budget.

So I want the fastest possible NEW car, 2004 or 2005, in the area of 21k out the door, with an auto tranny. Any input is appreciated.

Right now I'm considering an 04 Stang GT (with the 05's out now, they're practically givin these suckers away and I've seen them in the high teens), the RSX, maybe the Tiburon GT? I'm not sure, please offer your advice.

04 GT is definitely your best bet, the only RSX with an auto was the base model which isn't any faster than your cavalier.

please don't get a mustang, there are enough of those on the road and i don't want to see someone else waste their money on one, think about why ford is giving them away. the infiniti was a great suggestion!!

Sounds good, now show me where I can get an infiniti G35 for under 21k out the door as I stated my budget was, and I'll personally call you every day to say thank you for the next year.

Haha, nice one smarty, but still, i guarantee you none of those have a reserve of under 25k. And I of course don't have all the cash at once. And I have a trade-in.
