Jdm b16as

I was told dont waste my time with a JDM b16 with a cable tranny becuz their all beat to sh*t. I would wanna kno if anyone can help me make a decision on a motor .. gimme some good info possbly and their experience with swaps or friends of theres. Also I was told that b16s just are too slow because of no torque and to just get a b18 (LS) and I will be faster becuz right off the bat it has more torque and it dont have vtec or even as much hp .. What are some thoughts on this? Truth or bs?

Re: Jdm b16as

b16s are faster then ls's, thats it.

while its true cable trans tend to have syncro wear, you can always put in new syncros, check out www.gear-speed.com they sell carbon coated syncros which will last you longer

Re: Jdm b16as

Is a B16A2 a good engine to do a swap? Is it worth it...basically is it a good value money/power? I have a 97 EX coupe and want to do a swap so is a b16a2 fairly simple comparitively?
