Windstar seat swapping

Can anybody tell me if I can switch the middle bench seat in my 98 windstar for 2 captains chairs? I can't tell if the mounts are there under the carpet. Thanx

Nope.. can't be done....sorry to say. Stuck with the bench and not Quads..

I don't know about the 98 and earlier models; but on my 99, all the mounts were already in the floor (under the carpeting). It was a matter of getting a utility knife and cutting out the areas of the carpet where the additional mounts were located. So try pulling up the carpeting and see if you have the additional mounts already.

I saw an entry on middle buckets for the '97 while perusing the maintenance manual last night.
