Aftermarket

What companies make exhaust, intake, cams, pistons any sort of aftermarket parts for an 2003 SVT. I wanna build a fast motor and i like the svt better than the zx3. if there arent very many parts than i am going to buy a zx3. so if you could tell me is there companies that make parts for the svts or will everything have to be custom.

Well Ford's aftermarket company will make products... Motorcraft i think they're called.

By simply looking for what you want using google.ca as a search engine, you'll find many things out there. Just a matter of looking around, the parts for both SVT and ZX3 are abundant, just like i said you have to look.

Re: Aftermarket

Ditto what he said. Also, go look around for a magazine called 'Focus Fanatic.' It's a once every couple month experiment by 5.0 Mustang, geared exclusivley for Foci. You should see some good ads for parts and get some good ideas out of that.

Check out www.focussport.com to get an idea of what you are looking for, as for prices most companies are very competitive and sometimes offer free shipping and handling, good luck with your search.

Re: Aftermarket

I would go with HKS Hi-Power exhaust system (great pipe diameter if you plan on getting a turbo), or Magnaflow if no turbo. for intakes, always go with AEM, you get what you pay for in the aftermarket. You can get adjustable cams through AEM as well, along with a crap load of other companies. Pistons, I would go with Ford Racing Performance Parts.

Re: Aftermarket

svt performance parts? there arent many at the moment, esp for pistons, cams or any other heavy engine components, AEM makes some sort of intake(short ram) for the SVT(www.racerwheel.com), AEM also makes aftermarket cam gears and there are borla and magna flow cat back exhausts, but i would go with www.focussport.com and check out there exhaust! Also if you go to fordracing.com or steeda.com you might be able to find a few more aftermarket parts!

Does anyone have any experience with Focus Sport intake kit for the Zetec? Not the shorty intake, but the one that is basically an open air cleaner box with a ITG cone filter.

Looks nice and have bought other Focus Sport items, but I wanted to know if anyone has one here.

Thanks!

Re: Aftermarket

hey there, i have a focus sport true CAI, mines for the 2.3 liter focus Duratec, mine sits underneath the car near the tire, focus sport intake for the zetec sits on top of engine, short ram, focus sport intake for mine is freaking aswesome and sounds great, however, with your Zetec i would prefer an AEM style CAI, check out www.racerwheel.com
