Exhaut Cat-back help

Ok, here's what's going on.

I have the following setup on my '97 ex accord

1. AEM CAI
2. DC 4-2-1 ceramic headers- on the way as we speak

so now it's down to exhaust. there's only one problem. I drive from memphis TN to birmingham AL (210 miles one way) and back at least once a week (gotta love long distance relationships). Soooo.. I need something that's not loud (do you have any idea how bad a 3 hour headache is?) and something that isn't too obnoxious visually (I really don't want to be hearing "What ya got on that thare muffler, boy?" from an anal retentive backwater Mississippi state trooper) so I perused the forums for a few days and here's what I'm thinking now

Option 1. GReddy Evolution exhaust (600 bucks)

Option 2. Remove resonator, run 2 1/4" pipe from CAT to stock muffler (not 600 bucks)

Which should I do?

oh I know just what you are looking for!! I saw it a long time ago and ahh crap I cannot remember exactly what its called. But its a 350 dollar full cat back exhaust and its not very load and quite small, but helps horsepower loads and doesn't hurt your mpg.

oh damn whats it called? I'm gonna go look it up for ya, I'll get back to ya. soon.

ok, I couldn't find the other website where it was 350, but Here is a website where it is 399: http://www.i-m-racing.com/apexsys.html

This is the one I would get for my car, if I had the money. Well worth it I hear.

Option 2 is gonna be loud... if you remove the resonator, it makes it pretty loud. If you want a NICE, but fairly quiet catback system, get the Thermal stealth.

I know that Mugen makes a twin loop exhaust that's not too loud and puts out some decent performance numbers as well.

Really? I was talking with someone on the forums today and he suggested that I do the custom job and get a tanabe with a silencer. the project all together would cost about 350 bucks, you think it'd still be too loud?

Get the Greddy Evo. I got my Evo for less than $500. I don't know where you got that price but I'm sure CivicSuperStore sells it cheaper than $600. What ever you decide to do, good luck.

you want quiet then get an apexi ws, or a dc sports twin loop, or a mugen if you have the cash people say thermals are quiet but ive heard them and they arent, hell i think the 5zigen i had on my civic was more quiet then the thermal and they are supposed to be loud.

things you should not get, a tanabe anything!! greddy evo's can get loud at times, and my personal choice the apexi n1. i put this puppy on the lude today (n1) and lemme tell you!!! this hog is the loudest SOB i ever heard in my life. its a complete monster up untill 5200 when vtec kicks in but by then the motor is so loud it doesnt even matter. and yes i wanted a loud exhaust cause frankly i dont give a shit if anyone gets pissed at me.
