New System
Ok I bought my amp and now i need to pick out some subs. Just wondering what size and brand would be ideal for an eclipse and where else can I put the subs other than the hatch(i need it for my snowboard). Ive heared of people taking out their spare and putting a sub in there. dont know if its posslible or not. Thanks for the help!

Re: New System
what kind of amp did ya get? you have a point subs do take up about all the hatch space. yeah you can put a sub in the spare tire well. takes a custom fiberglass box or something like it to make it look good. id say you could fit upto a 12 or maybe a 15 in there if its a shallow sub. it really depends on what you want the system for.
if you want to pound and shake the ground your want either a few 12's or a a couple 15's, but that wont be easy to fit. if you just want some harder deeper base for your music your be better off with a signle 10 or 12. id recomend a single 10 or 12 to start with. you can just get a regular hatchback box and it shouldnt take up too much room so that you cant fit the snowboard. other than that or the wheelwell witch is bustom work (not demention spare tires come in handy) one of the only other solutions i know of makes it a two seater lol. iv seen a setup with two 8's directly behind the rear seatback that hardly took up any room, but thats about it. as far as what brand goes iv always liked kicker. its somewhat expensive but offers decent bass and will last a long while (my first system was my brothers 6 year old kicker system that still hit like new) if you treat em right. what kind of price range you looking at? it just so happens i wholesale subs and amps and what not and i might be able to get ya a deal. gl peace

Re: New System
If you listen to rock (double bass pedals) get a 10 or 2 10s. They great for that. Thats what Im getting. Also, you dont need 1600 watt amps. 400 watt is good enough for the little clipse. Get the subs for Circuit City, best place to go. Ask for the special order cataloge. Got some goodies in there

Re: New System
heres what i bought its pretty heavy duty but i got it for cheap
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rCqyZOL...130&I=575P6001 as far as custom fiberglass boxes go My friend and I make them for kids at our school ahah and make lots of money so Ive got the experience for that. Anyway i dont want huge pounding but i want good sounding music, i usually listen to rock and rap. I was thinking a JL would be nice, a friend of mine has two and they seem to be top notch haha but of course there is the price. Oh yea JW how deep is the spare tire well? I dont have my car
