help with a loc code!

i just searched yahoo and came up with a forum topic on here back on 4/4/04. It was regarding lock codes for GM vehicles. If you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I have a 98 monte carlo, from which i removed the factory stereo to put in an aftermarket one. Now that i am trying to sell it i took the aftermarket out and the factory won't work now. I have the lock codes, 392, 395, but i don't know what to do now. If you could let me know that would be great.

Re: help with a loc code!

The last I heard on those Stereo's you have to go back to the dealer to get the code reset after it being out of the vehicle for so long. You can try hitting 1234 after you put power back to the unit to reset it but it's a 50/50 shot.
