Laws in Japan
I'm just curious about a law they have in Japan .... I've heard it and I've seen myself speedos of japanese cars (I mean for the domestic market - JDM?) that have 180 km/h (=112mph) speedos ..... and even cars like a Mitsubishi Evo
I know about the notorious ''280hp agreement'' but what about this having a 280hp car isn't much use if you can only hit 180.... anyone in Japan?

Re: Laws in Japan
^Actually they had an article about the 276 hp agreement in Car and Driver, and how Honda broke it with the RL (300hp). They were saying that Toyota is going to put a 300hp engine in the 400h, and then Honda will put a 400 hp engine in the NSX, and to follow it up, Toyota will build a 500hp supercar.

Yeah I heard about that too
But was that the only obstacle? What about the 180 kph speedos? Was there a fuel cutoff beyond that point? I mean even a 280hp NSX sold in Europe/US could still reach 250 kph (155 mph) .. |

Just Floor It!
