supra gt doors

i was jus sitting down to start cutting the doors from my supra gt (tamiya) wen i noticed the top of the door is only about 1mm thick. is this thick enough to cut from the body or is it likely to snap/bend/ or be mishaped in any way. has anyone done this to their supra gt??
