Re: Car cranks but won't start

Do you have spark? The smell could be from a bad pressure regulator.

Re: Car cranks but won't start

You will need to follow the fuel flow to see where it stops. You may need a fuel pump, or filter. If these are fine you may need a oil sending unit. If this unit goes bad the ignition module will sut off the fuel injectors. Good Luck.

Re: Car cranks but won't start

yeah, when you turn the key to the on position the pump should run for like 2-seconds. sounds like maybe fuel pump relay is going bad, check that 1st,if thats it its a pretty cheap fix..

Re: Car cranks but won't start

Hey there I had the same problem with my sunfire.. go out and again 20 mins later it would start. It was a problem in the ignition. I got the ignition replaced and it was expensive. over 500$.
