Suspension recommendations
I have a 91 CRX HF with ZC DOHC swap needless to say the suspension is craptacular. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good suspension kit rather than buying this part or that, and something thats not terribly expensive would be good. Im looking for a balance of performance and comfort a little skewed to the performance end. thanks in advance

Re: Suspension recommendations
I'm running just R1 racing coilovers with stock struts. It still rides really nice, but it'll take corners really well too.

Re: Re: Suspension recommendations
Using stock struts with any aftermarket springs especially sleeve type coilovers is dumb. Do it right the first time and replace both springs and struts. You didn't specify if you wanted adjustable height or not.
Ground Control with custom Eibach springs and Koni sports would be a nice setup. Bacially anything designed to work together will give nice results(H&R cup kit, Koni strut/spring comboRSK i think, etc) or better yet a true set of coilovers like H&R lor Tein. You get the best of both worlds ride height and dampening adjustments made to work in all ranges of settings. The only down side is setting it up right and having to do it every time you change the height - alignment/corner weight. Or just go with some normal lowering springs like H&R, Neuspeed, or Eibach. Anything more than 1.75" will require camber kits and Koni yellows are highly suggested due to their shorter length. Instead of going crazy with the springs you could get something like H&R sports with KYB AGX's and upgrade the rear sway bar, add lower rear tie, both front/rear upper strut bars. Out of any of the 6 bars you can install the rear sway upgrade will have the biggest affect on handeling. Suspension Technique are fairly priced, adjustable, and fit non-si models. www.jegs.com www.modacar.com www.tirerack.com

Re: Suspension recommendations
What's wrong with stock struts and sleeve coilovers??? I've been running mine for 3 years or so, it's always had a nice soft ride, but stiff enough to take some corners. I'm not racing it or anything, it's my daily driver, so I like it on the softer side.

Re: Re: Re: Suspension recommendations
Stock struts are too long and do not have the proper valving for increased spring rates and length. As you seen in the picture i posted there is minimal suspension travel causing the strut to over work always wanting to rebound. This causes the gas/fluid to boil eating away at the seals and eventually leaking. Struts wear out over time so many drivers never even realize there's a problem until it's too late.
