Exclamation Help!!!!

3.8 1987 cutlass ciera
Problem: my car when going across town like 20 miles when engine is warm it will jerk and the RPM'S start to move up and down and then if i dont keep giving it gas it will die out, this happen's when sitting at a stop light or slowing down. I took it to my mechanic and I replaced the ignition module, throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor, coil pack, plug wires plugs....this is getting very expensive, Anyone have any ideas on what it can be? BTW my car over heated because of a busted radiator hose 1 day before this started to happen...Please help.

Thank You
