Wyclef - new magazine article

I was in a Sam Goody today and there was another celebrity "Rides" magazine and Wyclef was on the cover. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the magazine, much less its issue number. I'll get it for you all though. Wylcef and his red Zonda were on the cover.

Is this familiar to anyone? Is it old news? I'll post what I read if it hasn't been already to save everyone some time.

Yeah, i saw it last week. Did you see where he told Leno (or leno told him..it was hard to understand) that he had 2 McLarens?

Yeah, I had to read that part twice. I finally took it as Leno saying he had 2...

I don't know if there was any new info on his car in that interview so I'll let you fill everyone else in if there was.

Re: Wyclef - new magazine article

It was a vague quote by Wylcef who said Leno told him he had 2 McLarens.

The things that I remember from it are that the car is a 1995; he paid $1.5 million for it; he's driven it up to 210 mph; he always wanted one.

It wasn't a very enlightening interview but he compares the F1 to everything. Sounds like it's his favorite ride. And at least he got his facts right about the car. The same can't be said for the editors of the magazine who said there were 75 total McLarens.

75 is correct, if you exclude the 28 GTRs and 3 GTs from the total figure.

Leno owns a McLaren SLR, so technically, he does have two McLarens.

And if you take away the 5 prototypes (some of which will never be cars again). Then the 5 LMs (might as well since we're excluding the GTs). Then subtract a spare chassis = 64 road cars, what the magazine should have stated.

Then if you subtract the 57 non-blue cars (in their original paint scheme) you wind up with his F1 being one of only 7 in the world. Not as rare as "jet black with 10% flake" = 3.

We could get into some scary "Six Degrees of Separation" sh*t here.

Its not a 95. He has told people he got it for 1.8 and somehow i doubt he went 210
