Exhaust Set-up - Need help
Alright guys, I need some opinions.
I'm looking to get two universal mufflers for my '00 Civic Si. I know, I know...two? Yes, I'm going with a Y split on the custom piping to make it appear like a dual exhaust. My BW kit has two exhaust areas and I think it looks bad with just one exhaust and an empty hole. So, I'm trying to get the best sound and performance I can get with this type of setup. With that in mind: 1. Custom piping = 2.25 good? 2. Resonator or no resonator? 3. Name brand of muffler? Before I had this Si I had a '99 EX with a Greddy catback. I'm looking for a similar sound. Not too loud, not raspy, and certain not that kazoo like sound. A deep growl, not too overbearing, with at least modest performance gain. The AEM CAI and the Greddy headers will compliment the set-up. Any help out there from those with the experience? Thanks! |

well if you go universal muffler, then get one with a tunable port so you can alter the way it sounds, at least slightly anyway. going dual exhuast you will certainly not get any performance gains, in fact you may lose some altogether. but also go no resonater, cuz that will affect your sound.
hope this all helps.
