Hi
![]() My 1997 Ford Escort won't start sometimes. If I let off the clutch a bit and keep trying it will start after a while. Is there a switch in the clutch that could be causing the problem? Thanks, Lisa |

Hi, I also have a '97 stick and although I didn't have the same problem, I did recently have to adjust my clutch pedal and there is a switch on the pedal which doesn't allow the vehicle to start unless clutch is depressed.
