engine conversion

looking to swap engines in my 96 1.9l 2door. Simply want more power. What is up with the Zx2 Zetec conversion that is talked about?

Also, with a more powerful engine, better brakes would be handy, to say the least. Recommend going to all disc?

What is the largest size rim/tire set up that it can take?

She is shaking like a leaf on a tree @ 50+, good kick on tires and wheels wobble like an elephant with arthritis. Tie rods..? Shakes when braking too.
