92 Lumina APV wont start
After sitting for about 9 months we tried to start it. After alittle while we got it to start and all of a sudden before we even drove it, it wouldnt turn on. It clicked a few times and then it wouldnt even do that when I we turned the key. We tried jumping it and it started again only to do the same thing. Since we were told is was the starter we changed it and have the same thing start but we also learned that by crossing over at the starter it starts up fine and runs fine. I dont know if jumping it had anything to do with it or just a coincidence that it worked again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 92 Lumina APV wont start
There is a relay or electrical connection corroded from sitting so long. Spray WD-40 on everything, from the lock cylinder, shoot some in the column, spray down the relays, power center, there should be a large connector where the main wiring harness passes through the firewall, take it apart and spray, make sure the battery cables are tight and spray them too, spray any connectors and push them together, work your way through everything electrical you see under the hood in this way, you'll stumble onto it. And possibly avert some later problems, too.
