05 Civic Couple After market exhuast

Sup guys i got a friend that just got a 05 civic coupe dx, i was wanting to know if the 01 exhuast are the same as the 05's? also what changes on the exhuast from a civic ex to a civic dx? and most important what brand exhuast would yall recomend, any info would be greatly apprecaited thanx, take it easy.

The big difference from an ex to a dx is that on the dx the manifold and cat are all one piece where on the ex the manifold and cat are two piece. If he just wants an exhaust he won't have to worry about that though.

For exhaust recommendations, and I don't know if these companies makes exhausts for 7th gens, but I recommend:

Apex'i - World Sport
Greddy - Evo, SP
Thermal R&D - Classic
RS*R - ExMag

01-05 DX same parts apply except for body kits, headlights, grills, fenders. So the exhaust from an 01 will have no problems on an 05.
Keep this in mind LX/DX are same the same minus luxury features. So what GS said is correct the header and cat are once peice. Finding an exhaust is not easy especially if you want to do other upgrades. Most DX owners get just a muffler welded to there stock pipe. This will produce the same sound and effects. Now If you wanted a good full cat exhaust you will need to do some mods. First replace your header with that of an EX then get a Random cat installed. You can then get an exhaust from on EX model. One more problem you will need to either cut and extend your cat or purchase a front EX sway bar. The exhaust will not fit other wise. But search there are exhaust out there - Goodluck.
