96 Pathfinder tire noise during slight turns

Whenever I turn even slightly in either direction at low speed my 96 Pathfinder makes a noise that sounds like I have a sea lion barking in my wheels. The dealer insists that the noise is the result of non OEM tires rubbing, but these are Pirelli Scorpion 265/70-R15 that are the same size as the OEM tires that they replaced over a year ago. Visually I can see that the only way the wheels can rub against the well is at full lock, but like I said, the noise occurs even at a slight turn. Oddly enough the noise seems to be reduced or even goes away for a few days whenever I put it into four wheel drive. Has anyone had this same problem? Any suggestions??? Help!
