sliding door panel removal

What would be the easiest way to remove the inside panel off the power sliding door. The door wont open its stuck in the lock position. Thats why I need it off to repair it.

I have the same problem. The only way the door will open is from the exterior (kid lockout is off). Hopefully there will be an answer soon.

Re: sliding door panel removal

The hardest part is getting the handle off--

Remove door handle retaining clip by sliding a shop towel between handle and door trim. With tension on the cloth, pull one end of the cloth so it slides between the handle and the door trim. If handle does not come out, reverse direction.

You should be able to remove the panel from the inside.
