Question 1999 Passport Power Steering Pump Removal

I have a leaking water pump and in the process of replacing it. The problem is the power steering pump. All the books I have seen say that the power steering pump pully has a bolt on the front that needs to be removed before you can remove the pump. The 3.2 engine in this Passport has no bolt of nut holding the pully on. I tried to pull the pully off with a puller, but it only started to bend the pully a little. HELP!!!

If your PS pump is like mine (95.5 Rodeo), then you may not need to remove the pulley to remove the pump. The pump should be held into a cradle by a pivot bolt. This bolt, located at the very bottom of the pump, allows the pump to pivot back and forth. Removing this bolt will allow you to remove the pump from its cradle. The pivot bolt cannot easily be seen since it is on the very bottom of the pump; you may need to find it by feel.

Yep. Good call on the bottom bolt anthony.
Drop that pump in that washing machine & it'll be good as new !
