How to replace steering multifunction switch?

Doe anyone have any experience replacing the multifunction switch on a 2001 Yukon? I have purchased a switch, but now I can't seem to find a way to remove the shroud around the steering column.

Also, what other tips can you give me about the replacement of the switch once I've accomplished the shroud removal?
