Engine compartment light

Ok, I had a remote starter installed in my 97 GP GT 3800. They installed a mercury switch which is installed under my hood where I thought my hood dome light is at. When I opened my hood last night there was no light. I cannot remember for sure if I ever had a light. My question is, do 97's have a hood dome light? Thanks for any replies.

Re: Engine compartment light

My 97 has it. But I think in 1997 it was part of a lighting package. Will try to find out.

My 97 doesn't have one. Not in the trunk either. Wish it did. Would save a lot of work for me.
