Broke_as_****'s half-assed one hour guide to radiator repair

This may be off topic. Delete as needed.

The problem, the bottom of the radiator out flow tube decided to go on vacation, hopefully not booking a trip to my water pump.
Naturally, an obvious solution came to mind.
But that is TOO half assed so more durable materials were needed to extend the pipe enough to put the clamp back on.
The fun part about working with metal is beating it with a hammer.
Not bad for ten minutes without proper tools.
Well, it fits one side.
Looks like the rest of it does too. More or less anyway.
HOLY ****! THE CAR IS RUNNING AND ITS STILL SEALED TIGHT!

Materials: Some 1/16th inch metal plate, duct tape

Tools: 8mm, 10mm sockets, hammer, vice, metal rod, vise grips

Time invested: 1 hour 30 minutes

The reason for the repair: I have to be somewhere at 6 am tomorrow.

The fact that I just fixed something that would have left most people ****ed in the ass for near a thousand dollars (tow truck, labor costs, new radiator etc): ****ing awesome

Still going to have to buy a new radiator after I get back tomorrow but hey...its all good when you're Broke

UPDATE: Well, it wasn't perfect. I atleast had the sense to bring some extra coolant with me, which is good because it lost about half the overflow tank on the 30 minute drive. Hitched rides with others the rest of the day and made it home where the new radiator was waiting and then over to my parents house for the install. Just finished putting it in.
