more horsepower

hey just real quick i heard from a friend that you can do something like take a hose off somewhere and it gives you like 20 more horse because thats all i need to be another one of my friends and i was just wondering if you guys knew what that hose was?

I beleive he meant the coolant hose that runs thru your throttle body. I wouldnt try it cuz it only gives you 5 hp.

Get a hiflow cat and turbo muffler and build a cai for your car. That will be money well spent and give you at least 30 horses.

no he said it was like the ecu mod resistor cord it's supposed to limit the amount of airflow into the cylinders,and if you take it off it doesnt so more air/fuel crams into your cylinders and gives it more of a kick when accelerating. I want to know now if cutlass supremes have that so i can try it>

maybe if you had variable induction but you don't. i think he talking about a device that is suppose to trick the ecm about the incoming air temp or to trick the ecm about the amount of knock to reduce the amount of kr, i wouldn't risk either of these methods. even though the initial cost might be cheap the problems these things can create later on problably will cost 20 times the initial cost.
if your looking for more air flow to the cylinders look into a cam, cia, larger throttle body or a hi-flow exhaust sytem. but if your going to increase air flow then you need more fuel or else you'll be running to lean. this is when you have to start up-grading the fuel system but, only if you radically change the air flow with a cam change or something.
i would just go with djnoname's advice and go with the cia and hi-flow exhaust.
