77 250 value??

Can anyone give me an aprox. value of a 1977 F250 auto 4x4 with a rebuilt 400 engine? It's been sitting some and supposely has low miles on this rebuilt, of course it has some rust especially around the wheel wells.
thanks for your time,cjjh

Considering it runs good and has no major work needed, maybe 700 - 1000, no more! I had a 77 F250 with a 390 and I got rid of it for free to a friend of mine, had some problems.

From a dealership point of view, the thing is worth 100 bucks. However they would put 500 on it so as not to insult you and would go as far as 1000 to make a deal.

This is of course if you're trading it in. Retail, well, if it's rebuilt and in good shape, i'd say 1500 bucks would be a reasonable asking price. PErsonally i wouldn't pay more then 900 bucks for it.

Cheers.

put it in your local truck trader and get someone to fix the rust spots, and easy $4000
