please help!!! leaking axle seal

I have a 95' nissa Altima. A few monthes ago i found out that my axle seal(drivers side) has been leaking, during a tranny fluid change at good year. They told me that they think that it was caused by worn out bearings inside of transmission were the axle pugs into. I had penty of money at the time so i took it to a local transmission shop. They put a new seal in and said if it broke that they were sure that it was the bearings. sure enough the same day the seal was leaking worse than ever. So i took it back and they opened up my transmission and and said that it wasn't the bearings and that the seal wasn't installed properly. it cost $700 and they didn't even fix anything. so they put a new seal on. Now 2 monthes later it is leaking again. Well just recently noticed it leaking. it was a court low when i took it back to the same shop. So the shop looked at it and told me that it is my passenger side axle that is bad and is causeing the seal to continually keep breaking. It doesn't make sense to me because the leaky seal is on the drivers side. they came up with some lame reason which didn't add up to me. i would go somewhere else and get it looked at but i don't have the money any more. has any body else had a simuliar problem with an axle seal that continues to leak even after it is replaced? Could the passenger side axle actually cause the drivers side seal to leak? i think that the transmission shop mis diagnosed my bearings inside the transmission and that it really is a faulty bearing cuaseing my problems. is there another way to find out if your bearings are ok without actually going inside the transmission? well any help would be apreciated. this car has been the biggest pain ever since i got it. tons of re-occuring problems. not really the cars fault but mostly crummy mechanics. please help!!!

Re: please help!!! leaking axle seal

Go to the dealer. Transmission shops are good for rebuilds but not trouble shooters. The reason is they are not trained for a specific vehicle they are trained in general repair.
