Tuner eclipse into rally car
Hey,
I have no camera=no pics. Sorry:-/ OK, so far: I have modified the suspension, put styrene shims under where it meets the frame/underbody. In the process of scratchbuilding a rollcage out of sprue. Using bits and pieces from tamiya impreza wrc. Wing from evo lancer. Wheels: speedline comp 2 from fujimi. Might switch to tamiya gravel type rims. http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ19196 Body is painted chrysler yellow from new testors line. Trying to make decals for new york 2004 scca rally. Wish me luck. lol. Thanks in advance for comments, suggestions, questions. Frank X. |

Re: Tuner eclipse into rally car
Cool. I'm like 1/4 of the way through a VW Golf conversion.
Are you using sprue or styrene rod for the cage? Actual styrene rod, 2mm or 0.080" (Same thing) hollow tubing with some soft wire in the middle works great. |

Re: Tuner eclipse into rally car
Excellent work for using stretched sprue. I bet you could make a really fantastic one using some styrene tubing/rod.
BTW: Is that car AWD? |

Re: Tuner eclipse into rally car
Hey,
Anyone have any ideas for decals? Anyone want to make me some? lol I need a rallye plaque. What color should I do the wheels? They are the speedline comp 2: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ19196 Steve, it is awd. This is the revell tuner version. I wasn't going to use the roof scoop on account of its ricey-ness, but it might be usefull on the rally car. It is lifted a little bit. I'm sorry I only have a few pics. I'm working on more thought so hang with me guys. Thanks, Frank X. |
