Adding DVD to 01 EB Entertainment System??

Hey folks, new to the forum here, and just bought my 2001 Eddie Bauer Expedition 2 weeks ago. It has the rear seat entertainment system which includes the VCR. Is there a way to get rid of the VCR and add a DVD player? Or maybe keep the VCR and add a DVD player? I see there's a button on the entertainment system console for "Input" and I can select either Input 1 or Input 2, but Input 2 is unused. I took apart the center console stuff hoping to find that the VCR has RCA cables on it, but no, it's just 1 Ford wiring harness that plugs into the back of the unit. So I pulled out the LCD screen console, again, hoping to find RCA cable inputs, but no. Any help on this is appreciated, as I don't even own any VHS tapes! Thanks in advance,
-Jason

Thumbs down vcp to dvd

I have been told by several places that the wiring system for the 2001 EB Expedition (which I also have) is not compatible with dvd players now on the market. If you hear something...please let me know!
