Steering honk

2001 GC 6 cyl auto. Having problem with a honk when turning the wheel at slow speed, parking lot type stuff. Happens when turning the wheel either way but right seems to be worse. Anyone have any ideas?

A bare wire in the column is shorting.

no its not the horn going off....its a fart/honk like sound when turning the wheel.

Its the gearbox.This is a common problem.there are some bulletins about changing hoses but they don't work.the only thing that fixes it is the latest part number gear box
